Blue Mountains

The Blue Mountains is situated within a World Heritage area offering a unique, relaxing environment for that perfect lifestyle. Considered one of the most spectacular parts of the country and just 90 minutes from Sydney the Blue Mountains offers dramatic views, stunning bush walks and sensational natural attractions. Explore the lookouts at Wentworth Falls, Echo Point, Sublime Point, Narrow Neck and Govetts Leap or experience the wonders at Scenic World.

Take the Scenic Railway down into the Jamison Valley or jump aboard the Scenic skyline and glide across the canyon affording unforgettable views of the Three Sisters and beyond. From easy strolls to three day events, bush walking is a must in this beautiful part of the country. Head on into the information centre at Echo Point for trail maps or contact us to put you in touch with local adventure operators offering guided tours.

For the thrill-seekers among us the Blue Mountains offers an adventurers playground. Mountain biking, horse riding, trail running and caving a just a few of the activities the mountains offers. Spend the day exploring Jenolan Caves (just over an hour’s drive from Katoomba) abseil down one of the cliff faces, or experience a rope assisted descent into one of the many canyons.

The local towns are always an enjoy to explore. Pop into a few of the small towns whilst you make your way up to the mountains stopping in Glenbrook for the Tourist Information centre and ‘Jellybean Pools’. This also proves a great respite before embarking on the rest of the journey up the mountains. Wentworth Falls, Leura and Katoomba encompass many delightful cafes and restaurants, along with bespoke stores and antique shops which are definitely worth a visit!

Dining Experiences

There are an abundant of restaurants and cafes to cater to everyone’s needs in the Blue Mountains. For delicious breakfasts and lunches, we can recommend the following cafes, the Red Door Café at Leura, Gourmet café and Deli at Leura, and Big Beet at Katoomba. We also recommend Rubyfruit in Leura – a great vegan/vegetarian café. The Garage at Leura is also a great spot for lunch or dinner and for those special occasions dinner at Darley’s restaurant at Katoomba or Silks Brasserie in Leura will not disappoint. Speciality stores such as Josophan’s fine chocolates or Leura Cellars for fine wines are also not to be missed.
